Hewer FM is a family-run Gloucester business established for almost 60 years. We provide plumbing, heating, renewables, mechanical and electrical installation, service, maintenance and repair for domestic, commercial and industrial customers.
The role
We are looking for an Accounts Administrator to join our busy finance team. This is a varied role supporting the day-to-day running of the accounts function, mainly on purchase ledger but also assisting customer ledger, invoicing, reconciliations and general finance administration.
Key details
- Reporting to Accounts Manager
- Salary £28,000 - £31,000 depending on experience
- Hours 40 hours per week, 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday
- Location Gloucester GL2
Main duties
- Process supplier invoices and support purchase ledger administration.
- Raise customer invoices and assist with sales ledger queries.
- Maintain accurate finance records and assist with month-end tasks.
- Provide general administrative support to the Accounts Manager and Finance Director.
What we are looking for
- Previous experience in an accounts or finance administration role.
- Good attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Confident IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and Office.
- A practical, positive approach and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Experience of Sage 50 would be useful but is not essential.
