We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Family Support Worker to join our primary school, with responsibility as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL). This pivotal role will work closely with children, families and external agencies to support pupil wellbeing, remove barriers to learning and promote positive outcomes, while contributing to the school’s safeguarding leadership.
The successful candidate will have strong experience of working with families, a sound understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures, and the confidence to support complex cases within a multi-agency context. You will be reflective, resilient and relationship-focused, able to build trust with families while maintaining professional curiosity and clear boundaries. The post is offered as a salary of Grade 5, Points (12-14) dependent on experience.
This is a part-time post for 18 hours a week. You will work 4.5 hours across four days a week, baseline working pattern of 8:30am - 13:00pm (some flexibility where needed/required).
