A great opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, flexible and committed TA to join our team! This is an exciting time to join Whiteshill Primary School and to be part of the Diocese of Gloucester Academy Trust family (DGAT).
We are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant who shares our school vision of working together, being curious and celebrating how we are unique. You will work under the instruction and guidance of teaching and senior staff. Within this role, you will undertake work/care/support programmes to enable access to learning for pupils and to assist the class teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom.
You will work with the wider school staff, local community and parents to ensure the development and education of pupils including those who have special educational, physical, and emotional needs. As a school, we are keen to match the skills set and experience of our staff to their roles wherever possible.
This role may be to support children in a 1:1 capacity or as a classroom assistant. This is an exciting and varied role and would be suitable for those who are thinking about pursuing a teaching career or have previous experience within a similar setting. Although previous experience is desirable, an enthusiastic personality and a passion for the job is paramount.
The post is offered as a salary of grade 3 point 5 pro-rata, on a fixed term basis for one year.
This is a part-time post for 15 hours a week.
