The Leadership Team and Governors of Tirlebrook Primary School are looking for a knowledgeable and caring SENDCo to join the school’s leadership team to continue growing and developing the inclusive practice of the school. The position is offered at 0.6 in the first instance with the potential for additional teaching hours being available in the future.
Tirlebrook Primary School and Little Oaks Nursery has a strong sense of community and a team who are determined to ensure that children excel in their learning becoming happy and confident learners who are independent and resilient. Tirlebrook is a one-form entry primary school with 192 children on roll. Additionally, there is an on-site nursery catering for pre-school aged children. With the school under new leadership, this is an exciting time to join our school and be part of a team who are looking to further strengthen the SEND provision for the children and their families.

We are looking for someone who:
• is enthusiastic and committed to improving the outcomes for children with SEND
• is able to work closely with the HT and DHT to ensure that all pupils receive the best possible provision
• is able to communicate well with all stakeholders, as well as external agencies
• holds the National Award for SEN Co-ordination (NASENCO) or prepared to work towards the NPQ SENCO award
• has a strong working knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice
• has an excellent knowledge of how needs can be met within the classroom
• has great communication skills both in person and on paper
• is able to work strategically to plan and implement school improvement
• is positive and able inspire and support others
• is organised and efficient in managing workload
