Science Technicians – September 2025 start

Two positions available on a permanent basis working between 14.5 and 36.25 hours per week over 37 week per year, predominantly during school term time.

Happy to talk flexible working.

Salary: Up to £19,574.42 per annum (FTE £27,510) plus holiday pay of up to £3,043 per annum based on 15.55% of annual salary.

We have an exciting opportunity for two creative and enthusiastic individuals to join our Science Department. These vacancies are suitable for graduates or those already working in the field. Candidates with specialisms in any of the Sciences are encouraged to apply, however an interest or experience in Chemistry would be advantageous for one of the roles.

Candidates must have either previous experience of working within a scientific laboratory or possess a suitable qualification and have a willingness to learn.

In these key roles you will work onsite, supervising and organising practical provisions across years 7 to 13 (including A Level and IB) and contribute to the safe and efficient running of the prep room.

The team of teachers and technicians is both friendly and professional and all share a deep commitment to supporting excellent teaching and learning. The department is thriving and well resourced.

Training will be provided for less experienced candidates and there may be an opportunity to gain formal qualifications via an apprenticeship route.
