About the Team and Role:

Are you looking for a new challenge? If you are a fast learner with excellent attention to detail, good IT skills and have experience in a support or service role, then we need you in our busy Highways Development Management Team!

Highways Development Management (HDM) are responsible for ensuring developer-led infrastructure and new highways are designed and constructed to the highest standards ensuring Gloucestershire remains a desirable location where people want to visit, work and live.

As a Technician, you will play a vital role in our team, providing support with internal and external enquiries and highway works submissions, where your skills and experience will be fully utilised, affording you opportunities to make a genuinely positive contribution to both the team and the local area as well as gaining opportunities to grow both personally and professionally.

As part of the role, you will be supported to increase your knowledge in Highways generally, with an expectation of you becoming proficient in basic highway design and safety checks for new works to the existing highway.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a good standard of education with good IT skills, be capable of working independently and possessing strong technical acumen. You will need to be personable and professional, with a commitment to providing an accurate and timely resolution to all enquiries. You will bring your problem-solving skills and customer-focused nature to a talented team delivering a crucial service.
