Archway school seeking an enthusiastic and adaptable teacher to join our PE and Maths departments. This role is ideal for a PE specialist with a strong interest in teaching maths or a maths specialist with a strong interest in teaching PE and a willingness to develop their subject knowledge. We will provide full support and training for candidate in their non-specialist area. Whilst this post is advertised as full-time, part-time would be considered for the right candidate.

This is an exciting time to join our school, we are experiencing a tremendous increase in numbers and this has put us in the wonderful position of being able to recruit new staff to join our team. You would be joining a forward thinking and fully supportive team of staff who are passionate about improving the opportunities for all students. Archway was visited by a team of Ofsted inspectors in March 2022 and the school was graded “Good” in all five categories, with an overall effectiveness grade of “Good”.

The successful candidate will:
• Deliver engaging and accessible PE and maths lessons.
• Support students in developing confidence and problem-solving skills in both subjects.
• Work closely with both departments to ensure high-quality teaching and learning.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance subject knowledge.
• Contribute to the wider school community and student enrichment activities.

Successful candidates will benefit from:
• Subject-specific CPD for non-specialists.
• Use of school facilities such as swimming pool and gym.
• After school activities such as staff Pilates.
• Electric car charging points at an additional cost.
• One paid ‘wellbeing day’ per academic year, which can be booked off during term time.

Teacher of PE/Mathematics
- Start date 1st September 2025
- Full time/Fixed-term 1 Year/MPR/UPR (this post is advertised a one-year contract but for right candidate we would consider a permanent contract)
