Business Crime Coordinator (Part Time – 20 Hours per week)
Cheltenham
Gloucester City Safe is an established Business Crime Reduction Partnership working to reduce crime, disorder and antisocial behaviour in Gloucester, Stroud, and Cirencester. It is a fee-paying membership scheme offering a range of benefits to businesses including a radio communications network, access to an information sharing website and being part of the City Safe exclusion scheme.
We are seeking a Coordinator who will support the City Safe Manager and take responsibility for the running of the Cheltenham scheme.
The successful candidate will be dynamic and committed, able to work in a highly collaborative way with a strong degree of autonomy, drive, and initiative. An able communicator you will work at all levels to promote the partnership to new and existing members.
The Role
This is a ‘hands on’ job and the post holder will be required to work directly with businesses from the daytime and nighttime economies and with key partners including the Police, Council and Cheltenham Business Improvement District.
Duties Include:
- Managing the radio communication system used by member businesses linking them up with the Police CCTV
- Managing the Cheltenham Safe exclusion scheme and visiting offenders to serve exclusion letters.
- Managing the secure, password protected Intranet site containing details and photographs of offenders, incidents and alerts and ensuring compliance with GDPR data protection.
- Visits to Businesses to promote the scheme and recruit members to increase membership
- Provide a high level of professional and specialist expertise to businesses including the provision of training and support
- Working with partner agencies to resolve crime, disorder and asb issues.
- Prepare business impact statements to police or council for CBO/Injunction applications.
- Previous experience working in a Business Crime Partnership, Police background or a senior managerial position within the security industry.
- Able to use the Microsoft office packages (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
- Driving Licence.
- Experience of Partnership working, also holding day/night safe meetings.
- Ability to be security checked.
