Social Media Manager
South West, Gloucestershire, Rosehill - Hybrid
The Social Media Manager is responsible for the strategic growth and engagement of UCAS social media channels, by creating inspiring content, monitoring social channels, and utilising the insight and data from them to drive engagement, raise awareness, and deliver our charitable objectives. Ensure that social media content is consistent with the brand’s identity and goals.
Manage eight social media channels, providing supportive and inspirational content to support students from Year 9 onwards, parents, and advisers for key decision milestones.
- Use social media management tools for scheduling, monitoring, and reporting.
- Develop the UCAS social media strategy in line with our charitable objectives, and work with colleagues across UCAS to ensure social media activity is aligned with other key UCAS channels, including web, email, and events
- Lead on social first marketing campaigns across key times of year.
- Work with colleagues across UCAS to understand priorities and translate these into a content calendar.
- Lead on the evolution of our social media channels to support our digital first strategy
- Create and deliver engaging social campaigns and plans, by utilising insight and trends to maximise engagement.
- Plan and manage the creation of inspiring and engaging written content which supports UCAS in the delivery of its charitable objectives.

Skills, qualifications, and experience
- Degree in Marketing, Communications or a related field
- At least 3 years’ experience in social media management experience, and/or journalism, including storytelling,
reporting, and insight.
- Experienced in creating engaging short-form content.
- Strong knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok).
- Be a clear and concise communicator, excellent communication, writing and storytelling skills
- Be highly organised and efficient, with excellent interpersonal skills, establishing and maintaining successful customer relationships with internal and external customers.
- Basic photoshop and video editing skills.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills
