One-off Volunteer
Leckhampton Court Hospice
About the role
As a ‘one off’ volunteer, you’ll work alongside other Sue Ryder staff and Volunteers at a fundraising event or activity in your local community. You’ll be helping raise vital funds that allow Sue Ryder to provide care to people when they need it most.
Activities might include:
- Helping to set up or pack away after one of our fundraising events such as Starlight Hike or Celebrate a Life.
- Attending group bucket collections or bag packing events.
- Being an event marshal.
- Being on a cheer point at a local running or cycling event.
- Supporting the team with varied tasks on the day of fundraising events, such as setting up activities, manning stalls, marshalling, leaflet dropping or selling raffle tickets.
How often we’d like your support
We hope you’ll volunteer for approximately 2 - 6 hours at the time of our event or activity.
A ‘one off’ volunteer can help at up to 3 events or activities per year. If you would like to
volunteer more often than this, then you can become an Event Support Volunteer.

responsibilities:
- Completing the relevant checks and training needed for the role.
- Following Sue Ryder policies and procedures
- Showing a positive attitude towards diversity and inclusion
- Showing a commitment to Sue Ryder’s core values and behaviours
- Understanding their responsibility relating to data protection
