DROP IN VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Are you able to give some of your time and skills to help Marah support people in poverty and hunger?
Marah Trust is a Christian charity based in Stroud. We provide a free hot meal to a range of people; including the homeless, people in addiction, people with mental health problems, people with physical health issues and disabilities, and those who feel isolated or lonely. As well as enjoying a meal in a friendly, welcoming environment, our guests can receive advice and support. We reach out to those in need, in a non-judgmental, welcoming community space.
Our Drop-in operates four times a week and we are currently in need of volunteers on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays or Saturdays.
We are looking for volunteers who can be there from 12:00 pm to 3:30 pm or 9.30 to 12.30. We ask that Volunteers attend twice a month minimum.
You may be involved in serving meals, making tea and coffee, washing up and chatting to our guests. Crucially, you will help the team clear up at the end of the lunch session so that the venue is left clean and ready for the next hirers.
