Severn Vale School is an Academy which provides an inclusive secondary education for students aged 11-16, that delivers strong student outcomes through high quality teaching and outstanding pastoral care. We are seeking to appoint an ambitious and effective teaching assistant to join our friendly and supportive SEND team. The role is to support students with a variety of learning needs. In addition to classroom teaching assistant support, the ideal candidate would also support such students in PE lessons and assist with, or run, extra-curricular sporting activities and clubs. Such a position would suit a sports graduate wanting to gain experience in school before embarking on a teaching career. The PE department works closely with the SEND team to ensure that all students feel supported and we are proud to have recently entered teams in local SEND sports events. The role will be term time plus inset (39 weeks per year) and hours can be negotiated.
