The Role
The role of the 6th Form Centre Supervisor and administrator is to supervise all the students on a day-to-day basis and also provide general administrative support including Reception cover.
Reporting Responsibilities: To the Assistant Head (Pastoral)/Head of Sixth Form and Bursar
Main Duties and Responsibilities
General
- The 6th Form Centre Supervisor and Administrator (6th Form CSA) registers and oversees supervised study periods, ensuring students are in the right place, working productively and ensuring that pupils adhere to the standard of behaviour set out by the Head of 6th Form.
- The 6th Form CSA will be expected to help pupils to settle in and to look after all in the 6th Form Centre on a day-to-day basis. The6th Form CSA is expected to help the Head of 6th Form to create a friendly and happy atmosphere in the 6th Form Centre.
- The 6th Form CSA should be a major source of awareness of poor behaviour and ready to alert the Head of Sixth and/or Houseparent regarding any areas of concern.
- The 6th Form CSA will be trained to be aware of child protection procedures in the school.
- The 6th Form CSA should monitor pupils’ daily routines (particularly punctuality) and work with the rest of the Sixth Form team to help pupils meet expected standards.
- Provide administrative support for SLT, general administrative support including some time on Reception.
Housekeeping
- Ensure that there is a clean and pleasant environment in the House throughout the term.
- To work with and assist the Housekeeping staff as may be required.
- Liaise with the Head of 6th Form in ensuring that satisfactory and safe standards are maintained in the Centre, including reporting any necessary repair or maintenance work to the Estate Manager.
- Ensure rooms are kept tidy.
- To attend callovers during the day, except on Wednesday.
- To assist the tidying up of centre at the end of terms and half terms.
- Ensure all pupils are fully equipped for games lessons.
Medical
- Provide basic medical care and first aid under the guidance of the Medical Centre, following the correct procedure at all times.
- Refer pupils to the Medical Centre when appropriate.
Uniform and Property
- Ensure shared areas are kept tidy and maintained.
- Encourage pupils to take care of their property and respect the property of others.
- Carry out room checks at the start and end of term, in addition to regular and ad hoc checks.
Health and Safety
- Complete regular checks on equipment and items in the house, reporting defects as necessary.
- Attend regular training as may be required from time to time.
- Monitor lighting and replace bulbs where appropriate in liaison with Estates team.
Other
- Contribute significantly, where appropriate, to implementing departmental and workplace policies and practice;
- Promote collaboration and work effectively as a team member;

Rendcomb College was founded in 1920 by Frederick Noel Hamilton Wills, whose family have maintained an active part of the school including significant financial endowment and governance. We maintain a vision and ethos that remains true to Wills’ original values of providing an inclusive and broad-ranging education for our pupils. Rendcomb has evolved, developed and grown over the years and is now a thriving co-educational day and boarding School for 3-18 year olds totalling some 400 pupils.
The College owns some 200 acres of land including the Deer Park and the “Wilderness” which is home to our Forest School and an integral part of our Outdoor Education provision in the Junior School. The College’s ten acres of pitches benefit from far-reaching and astounding views. An open air swimming pool lies next to the College buildings. The school boasts four new hard surface tennis courts, gym, all weather astro-turf and sports hall; all of these facilities are used by Junior and Senior School pupils.
Recent whole college developments include a state of the art Performing Arts Centre at the heart of the campus, new 6th Form Centre and Junior Day and Boarding House.

- Terms & Conditions
Working Hours & Salary
- Your hours of work from Monday until Friday will be 8.30am-5pm Monday to Friday term-time only, with one hour unpaid for lunch. This includes College INSET days.
- Generally these conditions should apply but some flexibility will be required for crises (for example epidemics).
Annual Holidays
You will be entitled to holiday in line with standard regulations. Public Holidays occurring when the College is in service are normal working days.
Further Training
With the increasing emphasis on welfare and regulation arising in part from the Children Act and the National Boarding Standards, the opportunity will be offered and encouraged to take part in courses in this area.
