About Us

The Richard Pate School is owned and operated by Pate’s Grammar School Foundation. It is a successful co-ed independent day school for 3-11year olds in Cheltenham. We offer children a broad education in modern, purpose-built facilities.The School also provides a varied extra-curricular programme, as well as offering a Breakfast Club and After School Care.

We are seeking an exceptional candidate to fill a Teaching Assistant role to work within the Early Years Foundation Stage.

In summary the role is as follows:

Full time permanent contract
Salary: TBC based on experience
Start date: 1st September 2025
Employed as a Key Stage 1 TA starting in Reception in September

To be successful in this role you must be:

Qualified with at least NVQ 3 or equivalent
Have experience of working within EYFS and KS1
Enthusiastic about being part of a supportive team, prepared to immerse yourself fully into school life
Capable of communicating effectively with pupils, colleagues and parents
Willing to support intervention groups within the class
Respectful of the School’s aims and values
