A great opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic, flexible and committed Teaching Partners (Teaching Assistants) to join our team at Kingsway Primary School. We are looking to welcome teacher partners who share our determination to become exceptional. We are looking to recruit two capable and committed Level 3 qualified SEND Teaching Assistants to work with pupils with EHCP’s across the school promoting their independence, self-esteem and social inclusion. This position is linked to EHCP’s and offered on a Fixed Term basis for the duration of the EHCP’s whilst the child is at the school. The roles involve working with children with communication and interaction and cognition and learning needs.

This post will suit candidates, who are passionate about SEND & inclusion, be flexible, creative, caring, and committed to providing the best learning opportunities. You will have strong communication skills as well as previous experience of working with children, with special educational needs. The successful applicant will be required to work closely with teachers, parents, the SENDCO and other outside agencies.

We are looking for someone who:
• is passionate about working with children with special educational needs
• is focused on helping children to achieve targets and secure progress
• is confident when attending review meetings, liaising with parents and meeting with external agencies
• has confidence when working with students on a 1:1 or small group basis and assisting the class teachers where necessary
• can establish strong relationships with children whilst setting firm boundaries
• is supportive and keen to work as a part of a dedicated team
• aspires to be exceptional in their practice
• An NVQ/QCF Level 3 or equivalent qualification
