Behaviour Teaching Assistant
Area: Stroud
Salary: per day
Hours of work: 8:30-3:15 Monday- Friday
Monarch Education are recruiting for a school in Centre of Stroud who are looking for individuals to take on a Behaviour Mentoring role. The school is seeking someone who is confident communicating and interacting with young people and supporting them with their social, emotional and mental health needs.
This is a large Primary School with a good reputation for supportive senior leadership and a friendly working environment. The school invest a large amount of time in both the well-being of students and staff. This is a great opportunity to make a difference to the lives of young people and be a part of a supportive and high achieving team.
Job Description:
- Working with children in the classroom setting
- Managing challenging behaviour
- Working with students one to one
- Acting as a positive role model to students
- Taking an interest in and supporting the wellbeing of students
The school are looking for someone who:
- Has experience working with young people, this could be as a Sports Coach, Dance Leader, Scout Leader or something similar
- Has a positive attitude
- Can engage children in and out of the classroom
- Feels confident managing challenging behaviour
- Has a can-do positive attitude

Candidate Requirements:
- Proven experience working with SEND students, primary or secondary aged students or relevant background e.g. recent psychology graduate, experience working in a care environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage effectively with students, staff, and parents.
- Valid Enhanced Child Workforce DBS certificate (on the update service) or willingness to obtain one.
