Job summary
The post will cover the Countywide Sexual Health Service, which provides services from the central hub and community clinics as service needs require. Psychosexual services are offered to an identified cohort of patients who are living in Gloucestershire and have been diagnosed/identified with psychosexual difficulties under the current psychosexual commissioning specification. Administration support is offered for this role. There is currently no line management responsibility within this role.
Main duties of the job
The Psychosexual Therapist will provide specific specialist therapeutic interventions/therapies to patients, as well as offering consultation and training to team colleagues as required, based on service need.
To provide specialist therapeutic assessments of clients referred to the team based upon the appropriate use and interpretation of complex data from a variety of sources including physical test results, referral letters, self-report measures, rating scales, direct and indirect structured observations and semi-structured interviews/assessments with clients.
