The Role

As Pastoral Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our school’s pastoral care provision. You will work closely with children, staff, and families to support pupils’ emotional, social, and behavioural development, ensuring barriers to learning are addressed effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the school’s pastoral care strategies, including behaviour and wellbeing
initiatives.
• Provide direct support to children with social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external agencies to develop tailored
support plans.
• Promote a positive school culture where every child feels safe, included, and respected.
• Deliver small-group or one-to-one interventions to build resilience, confidence, and
emotional wellbeing.
• Act as a safeguarding deputy, ensuring robust policies and procedures are followed.

About You

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate individual with:

• Proven experience working in a pastoral or wellbeing role within a school setting.
• A strong understanding of child development and safeguarding practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to build trusting relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues.
• A proactive, solution-focused approach to supporting children’s needs.
