About us:

The Altus School is a local authority maintained alternative provision school, working with students from Year 1 through to Y11 who predominantly join us after a permanent exclusion from a mainstream setting. We are a supportive and nurturing school and place relationships at heart of all that we do to help our students flourish both in school and in the wider community. You can hear directly from our staff about what it is like to work at the school by looking at our website. You will be joining a challenging but ultimately hugely rewarding environment. Every day is different, you will develop strong working relationships both with students and your colleagues. Together, we make a real difference for our young people and families.

We are a growing school with 7 centres, plus our new primary satellite classroom in a mainstream school, across Gloucestershire and as of September we will have capacity for 328 students. There are a wide range of opportunities to work collaboratively with colleagues across the school to plan and share best practice. In addition, you will benefit from a generous employee assistance scheme which includes health care, online sports and fitness and wellbeing support.

We encourage visitors to the school to come and see us in action. You can contact kate.williams@altusschool.org.uk to arrange a visit or for more information.
