Play Assistant. Permanent. Term time only. Hours: 8:30am – 4:00pm. Minimum 3 days per week with possibility of doing an additional day.  Happy to discuss days. Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour. Start Date: September 2026.

Naunton Park Preschool Playgroup is a committee-led, small, local playgroup for children aged 2 years 6 months to 4 years old. 

We are an inclusive setting dedicated to achieving the best possible outcomes for all our children. 

We understand the importance of play. Learning in our setting is child-led. We have a free-flow approach to play with lots of outdoor play and messy activities! 

We are looking for an early years practitioner who shares our ethos and values to join our small, friendly team. 

The ideal candidate will have a minimum Level 3 qualification in childcare and experience of working with children aged 2 – 4 years. You will have a good understanding of the EYFS, up to date knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures, and a a willingness to undertake training and professional development. Ideally, you will have up to date paediatric first aid training. We are looking for someone able to work in a small team who is reliable, punctual, with good communication skills and a warm, caring, nurturing approach.  

We will consider applications from candidates who do not have the above the qualifications and/or experience who can demonstrate genuine enthusiasm and commitment for working with young children, have the personal attributes we are looking for and a willingness to undertake training.
