SENIOR FIRE & SECURITY ENGINEER

JOB PURPOSE

We are looking for an experienced Fire & SecurityEngineer to join our clients team, primarily covering the Bristol area. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing security systems as directed by the Service & Commercial Director.

This role requires an individual with experience, skills, and training to efficiently carry out the required work while maintaining excellent health & safety standards. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as the role involves working with clients and other stakeholders. Additionally, the position requires technical expertise and IT literacy.

A valid driving license is required throughout employment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Service & maintain various fire and security systems under contract.
  • Take the lead when working with subcontractors to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 quality standards.
  • Maintain up-to-date Health & Safety training (Asbestos Awareness, IPAF, ECS, etc.)
  • Identify opportunities to improve company profitability by recommending system upgrades, spotting weaknesses, and identifying outdated equipment.
  • Complete online documentation promptly and secure client sign-off.
  • Manage & maintain company equipment, PPE, and vehicle stock levels

ESSENTIAL SKILLS :

  • Valid driving license
  • Relevant certified training
  • Excellent interpersonal & organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

DESIRABLE SKILLS:

  • Certifications in Gallagher security systems
  • Advanced Health & Safety training (SSSTS, Petrol Passport)
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Field Service)
